The Titans have agreed to terms with cornerback Cortland Finnegan on a contract extension through 2011, according to The Tennessean.
The new deal is worth just under $17 million over the next four seasons, and it includes roughly $8.5 million in guaranteed money.
"I am just so excited," Finnegan said Friday night. "When me and my mom talked about it we cried. It is definitely a humbling thing and hard work does pay off."
Finnegan was a seventh-round pick out of Samford University in 2006.

Ravens' Suggs To Report With $8.5M Deal
Baltimore linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs plans to end his holdout over the weekend in anticipation of signing a $8.5 million franchise tender with the team, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton.
He has agreed to play this season for $8.5 million and won't ask for any condition in the deal that will prevent the Ravens from franchising him next season, when he'll become a free agent.
The Ravens and Suggs reached an agreement that allowed the franchise number to be the difference between the top-five number at defensive end and linebacker, which increased his tender to $8.5 million.
